IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
- Every pilgrim should have well acquaintance with his group leader and other members of the group.
- Essential items to be carried by an Haji are :-
At least
- 2 sets of Ihram, enough clothes,
- 2 pairs of sandals, that can leave the heal and the toes uncovered,
- One cake each of plain and scented soap,
- Scarf for ladies,
- Towel,
- Toothbrush and paste, Miswak (if one use it),
- Comb,
- A few safety pins,
- Needle and thread,
- An small mirror,
- A marker,
- A few plates with spoons,
- Thermos, flask,
- Nail cutter,
- Plastic adhesive tape,
- Ihram belt,
- Small scissor,
- Two small coils of thin nylon rope,
- Those who use spectacles should carry an spare spectacle,
- A pair of good quality and comfortable shoes.
Efforts should be made to carry only essential items to keep one as light as possible in accompanying luggage.

Ladies should always be in decent but proper dress. They should avoid wearing thin and gorgeous dresses. They should be careful about veil and always use “Abaya” when going out.

Accompanying luggage should be properly secured. One may have to carry his luggage. Only 30-kg weight is allowed to air passengers.

Always put your identification mark on all items of your luggage, like sticker issued by the group leader or hand written address properly pasted. The sticker should bear, beside your own name, the name of the Muallim & No. of Maktab, Group number etc., so that in case of misplacement, it could be traced quickly.
- If a pilgrim is carrying Travelers Cheque, he should leave behind photocopies of these cheques so that in case of loss or theft, claim could be lodged easily.

Do not encash all the travelers cheque at one time. Encash them as and when the money is needed. In case of loss of these cheques the report should immediately be lodged with Pakistan mission and with the bank. After necessary verification the bank will either issue the duplicate cheque or the equal amount.
Do not try to honour too many requests from friends or relatives. In the cumulative way you will be burdened with weight and the limited amount of foreign currency may fall short
